L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation-First Impressions

I was so excited to try this new L’Oreal foundation, it’s a full cover foundation, and I love anything with full coverage! I don’t have any specific skin issues, I just like to have as flawless base as I can get.

I had seen a few YouTubers try it out, and to be honest, most of them didn’t like it, but I like to make up my own mind about products, and as we all know, what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for someone else.

So the actual product has a quite dense, mousse like texture, I do always shake the tube before I open it, as it sometimes looks like it has separated, but a quick shake and it’s fine. Given the density of the foundation,  I was going to apply it with a damp sponge, but actually it applies beautifully with my Morphe M444 brush, I do sometimes go over it with a beauty blender, as it gives a really nice finish.

It is full coverage, I spoke to a L’Oréal assistant, who informed me that its great for covering redness, blemishes and dark spots. I have a pink blotchy birthmark on my forehead and it covered that with ease.

It has ‘Camo stretch technology’ to provide ultimate spreadability and even coverage, I’m quoting the bottle, but I would agree with that. It didn’t gather in any lines or break up throughout the day.

It is a Matte foundation, but it wasn’t drying, I have combination skin and I like my oily areas to be as Matte as possible, but it didn’t cling to dry patches like some foundations do. And it did stay matte all day. It’s also non-comedogemic, so it won’t block pores.

To summarise, I think if you are looking for a full coverage, Matte foundation this is for you. If you have a specific skin issue that you wish to cover up, then this is an awesome foundation with a tiny price tag. If you prefer a light/medium coverage then it’s probably not your bag, but try the original Infallible Foundation instead.

I think the moral of the story is, always to try things!

L’Oréal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is available from Boots and Superdrug, I bought mine in Superdrug for £6.99 ( it may have been on offer). I only counted six shades, I have shade 10 Porcelain.

Thanks for reading, Mo xx
